It only starts with one bite

I just ate two packages of M&Ms to "get them out of the house" since I bought them the other day when I bought the chocolate cake.

One day last week, I had the choice to buy an apple fritter or not. I did ... and every day since then, I have eaten compulsively.

I had the choice ... I struggled with the choice ... I made the choice. I remember hearing God's voice say inside me ... and if you buy this, how are you going to say no tomorrow?

Lessons learned the hardest ...

Maybe God just wants to know why you are substituting other things for the love he wants to give you instead...I don't think his voice is one of condemnation but rather, one of reaching out to you....one of telling you that you ARE WORTH his love and you need to pray and connect with him in the moments you want to give into cravings. Take care of yourself....

you might start your training by learning how to contain yourself and say no to that machine. Then, you can spread your strength around :)

A recent copy of Reader's Digest has a couple of articles on Alcoholics Anonymous. The crux of the articles is that the famous 12 Steps, don't work at all. Apparently, there's no data to support the claim that Alcoholics Anonymous is successful at getting people to stop drinking. From my own experience, the 12 Steps, shut down the critical thinking section of ones brain. What do you think? Comments are welcome!!
PEACE BE WITH YOU
